4 Balanced Armature Drivers

Four balanced armature drivers have been selected to power the low-mid and mid-treble frequencies on the Septet. Balanced armature drivers offer an articulate, accurate, and detailed sound due to their speed, providing a studio monitor-like precision to your music. Two independent crossover networks are utilized across the four drivers, dedicating each channel specifically across the low-mid and mid-treble range for a complete coverage across the entire frequency range while minimizing harmonic distortions.

Micro Planar Transducer

The Septet features a single micro planar transducer (MPT) driver as its ultra-treble tweeter. The newly updated MPT has significantly enhanced output at high-treble frequencies, which elevates the clarity while minimizing distortion and artifacts in the sound. The natural texture and timbre of the MPT allows a smooth treble extension up to 30kHz to bring out every micro-detail and air in the music, without harshness.

Piezoelectric Driver

4 Driver Types, 5 Drivers Per Side

The Kiwi Ears Quintet is equipped with five drivers per side, combining 1 Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) dynamic driver, 2 balanced armature (BA) drivers, 1 planar magnetic driver, and 1 piezoelectric (PZT) bone conductor.

With a total of 5 drivers per each ear, the Quintet delivers extremely high-resolution audio comparable to professional studio monitors. A large 10mm DLC driver was selected as the sub-woofer due to DLC’s high responsiveness and tensile strength, which pumps out impactful bass slams, but with fast decay speeds. 2 Knowles balanced armature drivers deliver natural and resolving mids, a classic example of why balanced armatures are beloved in the industry.

Planar Tweeter Technology

The Quintet’s driver configuration includes the innovative Micro Planar Transducers (MPT), which are a new advancement in the IEM industry.

These new tweeters feature the classic planar magnetic driver circuitry but with a smaller footprint for use in hybrid designs. With an extremely low noise floor and high output capacity, these planar magnetic drivers deliver crisp and detailed treble that is unique from typical BA or EST (electrostatic) tweeters used in most IEM’s today.

Finally, a piezoelectric driver was utilized to deliver ultra-treble microdetail and air. In R&D testing, the presence of the PZT driver significantly enhanced perceived audio resolution, texture, and sound stage, making it a no-brainer to be an addition in the Quintet.

Micro Planar Transducers Drivers

Achieving a high quality ultra-treble has been a challenge in the IEM industry. BA drivers are compact, but offer low ultra-treble extension, and are also limited by their output and timbre quality.

The MPT drivers in the Quintet maintain consistent sound pressure from 4kHz to 14kHz and extend treble up to 40kHz. This provides greater flexibility in tuning and delivers a higher sense of resolution, creating an airy, spacious soundstage.

Balanced and Natural Sound

The IEM provides strong sub-bass with a 9dB shelf, transitioning smoothly into flat mids at 300Hz, and a well-tuned treble peak at 3kHz.

The result is a completely balanced tone that accurately reflects the best qualities of each driver. The sub-bass hits strong and fast, with a 9dB shelf that transitions into a flat mids at 300Hz.

This mids-bass transition ensures that there is a slight warmth in the lower mids for bass guitar notes to be in the mix, but still retain a studio-monitor-like neutrality to the upper mids.

Resounding Bass

The Kiwi Ears Quartet was designed around their new sobaric double dynamic driver subwoofer. The innovative driver design utilizes two 10mm titanium diaphragms drivers, each independently driven by dual magnetic circuits. The pair of drivers were passively aligned to be phase synced and prevent sound wave cancellation.

This new subwoofer design emits extremely well extended sub-bass kicks that are tighter, faster, and deeper than any other previous woofer designs. The Quartet is Kiwi Ear’s answer for all those who want a fun in-ear monitor that will provide all the quality bass one could need.

Harmonious Balance

Although the Quartet is a bass-centric IEM, Kiwi Ears' still aimed to provide a natural tonal balance. This goal was centered around the need to provide a textured and powerful bass, but without any muddying or dulling in the mids or treble. The dynamic drivers were crossed over using a passive low-pass network at 350Hz to allow plenty of rich and thick bass, while the mids from 350-1kHz were tuned to be completely flat.

This allows an accurate tonality in the mids like that of neutral studio monitors, while giving a hint of warmth in the lower mids. This means the Quartet will sound thunderous in the bass, but still clean and flat in the mids, preventing unwanted bloating found in most earphones.

Custom Balanced Armature Drivers

The Quartet features a custom mid-high frequency balanced armature and a custom ultra-high tweeter balanced armature drivers. These drivers were modified to fit the balance of the new dynamic drivers by a tuned venting system to provide more airflow.

Following Kiwi Ears’ tradition, the balanced armatures are passively tuned to fit their in-house target curvature for the mids and trebles. This means the mid-treble provides crisp and clean tone to vocals and instruments, without sounding either dull or nasally.

The highs are detailed with plenty of sparkle for professional performance usage, but are natural and free of shrillness or fatigue.

Recommended Usages

The Quartet can be thought of as neutral studio monitors, but with sub-bass and bass emphasis beginning at 350Hz. This provides a little bit more of body, texture, and richness in the lower mids, but neutral mids and upper mids.

This IEM is perfect for performance drummers and bass guitarists who require powerful and impactful lows. Music enthusiasts who want quality bass but a natural tonality will also benefit from the Quartet’s tuning balance.

The Ethereal Voice Under The Stars

Under the beautiful and silent starry sky, Nanna was singing again. It was a dream for her husband, a continuous sigh for tragedy, and resentment for the unfair destiny. Kinera tuning engineer added electrostatic, a unit with excellent treble extension characteristics, to Nanna, settings to tune an ethereal and euphemistic sound. The moment I wear the IEM , it is as if I was back on the rock where Nanna used to sing day and night.

Each Driver Show Its Best With Perfect Connection

Considering restoring the ethereal and euphemistic voice from Nanna, standing among the dark and vast mountains, watching the aurora in the distance.

The designer first thought of the electrostatic unit, and its excellent high-frequency characteristics are undoubtedly more suitable for the ethereal and tactile voice of Nanna. For mid and bass, Sonion BA unit and Kinera’s custom 7mm dynamic unit are selected respectively. The combination of the units makes the three-frequency connection smooth.

Sonion EST65DA01 composite electrostatic unit is responsible for the treble. Two electrostatic units are paired with each other and act on high frequencies to make treble with high ductility, rapid transient response and bright vocal.

The mid-range uses Sonion 26A008/5 BA unit. The sound of this driver is with warmer sound, which plays a role in the good connection for full range. The function of connecting the full frequency makes the overall sound transparent and natural.

The bass, is presented by Kinera 7mm titanium-plated dome PU composite high poly fiber diaphragm dynamic driver. The high poly fiber has the characteristics of strong rigidity, which makes the sound transmission more uniform and provides strong protection and support for the diaphragm.

PU diaphragm is flexible, providing enough deep and diving depth for bass. Titanium plating process makes the diaphragm more rigid, resulting in clear sound and stable connection with mid and high frequency. Make the bass deep and textured.

Well Of URD

The faceplate is the surface of the lake, 3D printing is used to make a depression in the middle of the faceplate. It’s gradually rising to the edge of the faceplate, total 6 layers. By mixing special pigments of different shades, each layer of structure is separate cast and solidified. Finally present the water surface of the “Well of Urd” that nourishes the World Tree. It goes deep from shallow to deep, becoming deeper and deeper.

The shell is a scene under the calm water: the sun is shining, the lake reflects the looming golden light, the deep water and the floating bubbles make Urd Spring look unpredictable. There is silt in the bottom of the lake, which is the sediment of history. If there is no silt, it will not be able to highlight the clarity of the lake.

The past is like a deep pool. What we see is often a calm surface. Only when we explore deeply can we discover its rich layers and connotations.

URD bass uses titanium crystal diaphragm coaxial double dynamic, through careful tuning, the characteristics of deep diving and fast transient response of this unit are brought into play. The high frequency adopts the Sonion new generation EST65DB01 composite double electrostatic unit to make the treble possess stronger ductility. The mid-range is connected by the dynamic driver 11021 customized by Kinera.

Professionally Designed Acoustic Structure

The front cavity of the beautiful Norn ear shells consists of a specially designed 3-tube frequency cross over to remove any chances of multi-driver distortion. The tubes are designed in reasonable length to not affect the sound in any way, providing accurate frequency response for the users across a wide frequency range.

Reflective Back Cavity

There are smooth reflective backplates on the ear shells providing excellent looks with hand-painted faceplates. It also reduces sound loss and delays thanks to the diffuse reflection of the back cavity.

High-Purity Silver-plated Copper Cable

The Norn is bundled with a premium audio cable to provide an interruption-free sound signal to the earpieces. Imported 26AWG coaxial wire is used as the conductor with PVC outer insulation. Freya’s Story

Freya – (“Lady”), was the goddess of love & beauty in the Norse Mythology. As a goddess of war, half of those who died in battle would come to her hall. The other half went to Odin’s hall, Valhalla. She was married to Odin. When one day he mysteriously disappeared, she embarked on a journey traveling the nine worlds to find him. When she failed, she wept tears of gold. Her tears would turn to precious stones, called “Freya’s Tears.”

Background of Relentless

Just like Kinera, its sub-brand Celest also has a background story for each of its products. The latest Relentless originates from the Chinese fantasy literature, “Shanhaijing”, Classic of Mountains and Seas. It tells the tale of Lass, the youngest daughter of Yan Di, who tragically drowned while swimming in the East China Sea. She was subsequently transformed into the bird known as Relentless.

Relentless determined to prevent such a tragedy from befalling others. She took it upon herself to protect the living beings by reclaiming the Sea. The design and tuning theme of the pair is based on its tragic and heroic tale from fantasy literature.

A Mythical Inspiration

IgniteX Beast is a mythical creature recorded in ancient texts such as The Classic of Mountains and Seas and The Biographies of Immortals. It was once the mount of the Flame Emperor. In folk-lore, it is seen as a symbol of strength and courage, also representing good fortune and blessings for childbirth. The deer head symbolizes vitality, the flames represent light and hope, conveying good luck and happiness.

Driver Configuration

IgniteX Beast is equipped with a self-developed 10mm LCP (Liquid Crystal Polymer) diaphragm dynamic driver as the full-range driver. LCP diaphragm, made from Liquid Crystal Polymer, is a new type of advanced polymer material known for its lightweight, high-frequency response, low distortion, and high reliability.

IgniteX Beast also utilizes a custom Celest 10012 balanced armature to assist with high frequencies, delivering delicate and airy treble that is comfortable to listen to and seamlessly integrates with the midrange.

Beautiful 3D Printed Shells

IgniteX Beast earphone shell is made using resin 3D printing, with a semi-transpar- ent black finish. The faceplate of the earphone features flame elements, with flame textures created through modeling. After 3D printing, the design is spray-painted to give it a gradient effect of 'Zyra' and 'Kuno, capturing the appearance of flames in mid-burn.

Tuning of the IgniteX Beast leans towards a popular music style, with a balanced energy distribution across high, mid, and low frequencies. The vocals have moderate density with good resolution, and the soundstage is relatively well-organized. It is recommended as an entry-level Hi-Fi earphone for popular music genres.

Spectrumica

The name “Spectrumica” combines “Spectrum,” for the colorful array of sounds it produces, with “Mica,” symbolizing its unique dual transmission system that uses both air and bone conduction. This innovative design features a coil-based CBC bone conduction driver alongside IceLab’s advanced acoustic coordination, providing listeners with immersive and richly layered auditory bliss.

Spectrumica offers high-fidelity audio through an advanced 8-driver Quadbrid configuration, blending EST, BA, Dynamic, and Bone Conduction drivers for rich, immersive sound. Driver Configuration

Spectrumica features an innovative 8-driver structure combining ceramic Dynamic drivers, CBC bone conduction units, Sonion Balanced Armature drivers, and electrostatic drivers. It utilizes Elna audio capacitors, Japan-made MFR metal film resistors, and pure Silver-plated OCC copper internal wiring. Each sound element has been meticulously refined through extensive listening comparisons, achieving optimal acoustic performance.

P-Sync Phase Synchronization Chamber
Bone conduction directly transmits sound to the cochlea through the skull, enhancing low frequencies and spatial depth, though it risks phase misalignment. To address this, IceLab developed the P-Sync phase synchronization chamber, precision CNC-milled to ensure airtightness, reduce resonance, and align air and bone conduction phases. The ceramic diaphragm’s rigidity minimizes deformation under high pressure, enabling sharper responses. Together with the CBC bone conduction driver’s low-frequency capability, this design creates a pure, transparent, and 3D sound.

Housing and Fit

The Spectrumica’s design uses aviation-grade Aluminum for strength and optimal bone conduction while remaining lightweight and comfortable. 5mm Multi Layered Graphene Diaphragm

≈3T Magnetic Flux

iBasso's innovative dual magnetic circuit design combined with the custom high magnetic strength N55 NdFeB magnet yields an astonishing magnetic flux of approximately 3T. This is nearly double compared to the current 1.6T magnetic flux of other flagship IEMs. The strong magnetic flux of the 3T-154 has many advantages such as superb transient response, concise detailed bass, better micro details and more. The listening experience is outstanding.

15.4mm Maximized Diaphragm

The 3T-154 utilizes a 15.4mm diaphragm, one of the largest out there for an IEM (an increase in size of about 137% over popular 10mm diaphragms.) The 15.4mm large diaphragm has excellent sound pressure, and combined with the ≈3T magnetic flux, you can experience the most superb live music dynamics you've ever heard from an IEM.

Embossed, Beryllium-plated Diaphragm

The beryllium-plated diaphragm possesses remarkable internal resistance and exceptional rigidity. Additionally, the embossing technology further enhances rigidity, drastically minimizing distortion while enhancing sound precision.

Magnesium Alloy Shell

3T-154 uses high-hardness magnesium alloy as the shell material. Comparing the same volume, this magnesium alloy is about 36% lighter than aluminum alloy shells and 78% lighter than stainless steel shells. It also has stronger rigidity, impact resistance, reduces resonance caused by the unit, and has excellent stability.

1.2mm Quick Switch Plug

3T-154 has added the 1.2mm quick switch plug system which consists of (x4) 1.2mm large-size pins. Compared with the common 0.78mm pins, iBasso's system has a more robust contact area, the internal resistance is lower, the signal transmission loss is negligible, and the conductivity is outstanding!

2-Pin Detachable IEM Cable

The results came to fruition with the A8000, and the sound evaluation method evolved further with the A3000.  We listen to music recorded at various qualities at various sound levels.  Conventional evaluation methods, however, generally entail a subjective evaluation under the fixed conditions such as constant sound pressure level , and  an  evaluation  method  that  takes  into  account  the  various  practical  listening conditions that could actually occur when users evaluate the sound of various products of earphones didn’t exist. We believe that researching a sound evaluation method that made it possible to arrive at a realistic evaluation even under various different listening conditions made it possible to bring to fruition a product that can be said to be the new standard for this price range.

Featuring the completely redesigned [f-Core DU] driver unit, which entails new design, parts and production technology

In order to achieve sound quality impossible at this price range, we newly developed 6mmφ [f-Core DU] dynamic driver unit from the scratch. To realize the brand new driver, we established new production facility overseas and newly designed not only parts for the driver unit such as diaphragm, voice coil, magnet, magnetic circuits, adhesives, but also the production machinery used  in  the  manufacturing  process.  As  material  for the  driver  front  housing,  rather  than  the traditional aluminum, we used brass, a material that is both highly resistant to the effects of magnetism  and  also  boasts  a  high  specific  gravity.   In  order  to  increase  the  time  response characteristic of the diaphragm, the voice coil employs a 30μ ultrathin CCAW, and a minimum of adhesive is used for assembly to thoroughly lighten the moving parts.  Moreover, the diaphragms are neatly pressed in small lots of roughly 1/3 the normal size in order to constrain pressure deviation to a minimum and realize uniform shaped diaphragm with no deformation.

The Feeling of a Customized Fit

Based on the chassis design that serves as an ideal solution for the IEM that become established during development of the B Series, the A3000 realizes a superior sense of fit.  Whether or not earphones offer a superior sensation of fit is determined by the sensation  of  oppression.    While  at  first  glance  it may  seem  correct  to  select  an ergonomic shape and hold it in place with the elasticity of silicone, this always places pressure on the ear which creates an unwary burden and leads to the accumulation of fatigue.  By  limiting  the  area  that  comes  in  contact  with  the  ear  in  contrast  to  an ergonomic shape that comes in contact with a large area of the ear, this product aims to  achieve  a  sense  of  fit  with  no  feeling  of  oppression.    The  green  section  of  the diagram  below  (earpiece)  is  the  1st  position,  the  blue  section  (Tragus)  is  the  2nd position, and the pink colored section (cavity of the concha) is the 3rd position which contribute  to  the  ultimate  stability  and  fitting.  For  that  reason,  it  is  suitable  for  the ears of many different people.  To the extent that there is no feeling of oppression at any of the points of contact, that makes for such a comfortable, superior feeling of a customized earphone fit.

The In-house Developed 'f-CORE DU' Driver

The A5000 is equipped with the 6mmφ f-Core DU driver developed and designed entirely in-house. The diaphragm, voice coil, magnet, magnetic circuit, and adhesives along with the production equipment have been newly designed. The material of the driver front housing is brass which is less affected by magnetic force, and it has a higher specific gravity than general aluminum. In order to improve the time response performance of the diaphragm, the voice coil uses 30μ ultra-fine CCAW and is assembled with a minimum amount of adhesive to thoroughly reduce the weight of the moving parts. Furthermore, by carefully pressing the diaphragm in a small lot of about 1/3 of the usual amount, Final Audio has minimized the unevenness of the pressure and achieved a uniform diaphragm without distortion.

The sound quality was designed based on Final's unique evaluation method established during the development of the flagship earphone A8000. In addition to transparent sound (when you clearly hear sounds that are localized at a distance), you can hear even finer sounds in the mid-low range giving each sound a sense of depth. In addition, a newly designed 2-pin soft silver-coated cable developed for the A5000 comes standard with its easy to handle braided cable.

New Sound Quality Evaluation

The development of the A series began with the establishment of a new evaluation method which was based on the analysis of the relationship between sound quality and physical characteristics. The initial result was the A8000. We listen to music recorded in varying qualities and volumes. However, in conventional evaluation methods, subjective evaluation is generally performed under fixed conditions such as the sound pressure that presents the sound. This makes it difficult to judge good sound based on typical listening techniques. The A5000 uses a new evaluation method for sound creation that matches actual music listening situations.

A Custom Feel and Fit

The A5000 is based on the optimal housing design for IEMs established in the development of the B series, and achieves an even better fit. Pressure determines comfort.

The traditional method of hold using the repulsive force of silicone (EG. selecting an organic shape that promotes ergonomics) seems accurate, but it always puts pressure on the ears. Before you realize it, the strain on the ears accumulates fatigue. Compared to the shape that touches the ear with an organic large surface, the shape that limits contact area is designed to be minimally oppressive. The A5000 housing is held at three points for a stable fit: 1 point in the ear pocket, 1 point in the earpiece, and 1 point in the tragus. If there is no pressure at all points of contact, it will feel as if the earphones were customized and extremely comfortable.

Newly Designed 2-pin Soft Silver-coated Cable

The included cable is a newly designed product developed for the A5000. 8-core silver-coated OFC wire is woven into it making it soft and easy to handle. The 2-pin connector is a high-precision product developed in-house and uses the φ0.78 standard considered to be the most versatile.

Locking Ear Hooks

Ear hooks are useful for reducing touch noise, and when worn, the unpleasant gurgling sound (cable touch noise) that occurs when the cable touches the body while walking is dramatically reduced. Our conventional ear hooks are slimmer than general ear hooks, and feature a comfort that makes you forget you're wearing them, as they don't feel like a foreign object compared to cables containing wires or resin. It is a type (TYPE B) with a lock mechanism that can be firmly fixed to the cable.

The Ideal Material for a Diaphragm

Diamond possesses exceptional physical properties such as high sound velocity and hardness, making it one of the most ideal materials for use in diaphragms. Observations show that even diaphragms made from rigid metals deform in various directions, which causes distortion. However, in the case of diamond, its superior bending rigidity results in extremely minimal displacement.

For this product, Final adopted a “Solid Diamond” method. Diamond is crystallized on a silicon base, and then the silicon is dissolved away, leaving behind a diamond foil used in the diaphragm.

New Surround Edge

Diamond has a specific gravity of 3.5—about twice that of beryllium—posing a challenge when paired with film-type edges, which tend to collapse under the weight and exhibit rolling motion. Additionally, conventional edge materials are prone to resonances at specific frequencies, which is another unavoidable issue.

To address these problems, Final developed a new edge using a special polyurethane material. While traditional polyurethane has the drawback of being prone to degradation, this new material overcomes that weakness. It is lightweight yet offers high elasticity and flexibility, successfully resolving the conflicting demands of ease of movement and suppression of unwanted resonance.

Diaphragm Molding Technology

Instead of using conventional adhesive bonding, they developed a unique molding process that combines vacuum forming and thermal molding with a die to achieve adhesive-free molecular bonding. This original technique fundamentally resolves various issues caused by adhesives which often lead to unit-to-unit performance variations between the diaphragm and the edge.

Bobbin-Equipped Voice Coil

To ensure smooth piston motion of the diaphragm, which is supported by a highly flexible edge, Final Audio re-engineered the voice coil. This approach not only provides excellent conductivity but also eliminates variations and imbalances in weight caused by differences in adhesive application.

Ultra-Low Distortion DU

By significantly reducing distortion in the ultra-low frequency range and improving amplitude-frequency response in that region, the reproduction of low frequencies has reached an unprecedented level of accuracy. At the same time, interference with the delicate and radiant mid-to-high frequencies—often caused by low-end energy—has also been reduced.

This driver achieves an extraordinary balance: it reproduces massive amounts of musical detail with stunning resolution while delivering a remarkable sense of separation, allowing every frequency range to be distinctly perceived. Since distortion is virtually nonexistent, even the silent passages in music feel deeply immersive, and each note stands out with even greater clarity.

Stainless Steel Milled Housing with Côtes de Genève Finish

The housing is precisely machined from high-rigidity stainless steel, providing robust support for the driver and suppressing unwanted vibrations to deliver clearer sound definition. The surface features a Côtes de Genève finish—a wave-patterned precision milling technique.

Exceptional Comfort

In contrast to large, organic shapes that make broad contact with the ear, we pursued a design that limits the contact area to reduce pressure. As a result, the earphones provide a pressure-free fit that adapts well to a wide range of ear shapes.

When none of the contact points feel tight or forceful, users will be surprised at how comfortable earphones can be—delivering a fit so natural, it feels as if the product were custom-molded. Compared to the A8000, the housing is also smaller, making it even easier to fit securely and comfortably in the ear.

ePTFE Shielded Silver-Coated Cable

This cable is a collaborative development with Junkosha, renowned for their work in designing and manufacturing high-speed signal transmission cables used in the “Keicomputer." The cable employs silver-coated OFC wire, utilizing the extensive expertise Junkosha has cultivated under its Junflon® brand. For insulation, it features ePTFE (expanded polytetrafluoroethylene), which offers an even lower dielectric constant than traditional PFA (fluoropolymer), ensuring superior signal integrity.

Note: Due to its tight fit, Final does not recommend frequent cable swapping or connector detachment except in cases of failure or necessary replacement.

Two Types of Eartips

Fusion-G
A triple-hybrid structure combining three materials—ultra-dense foam, soft silicone, and high-resilience silicone—achieves both excellent sound isolation and pressure-free comfort.

Type E
Made of two types of silicone with different hardness levels: one for the sound conduit and one for the surface that contacts the ear. The sound conduit is made of firmer silicone with precision grooves to balance strength and flexibility, while the portion that touches the ear uses softer silicone for a comfortable fit and high noise isolation.

ARC: Resonance Mitigation Technology

ARC (Anti-Resonance Compound) is a proprietary conformal coating that virtually eliminates unwanted vibrations and resonance from within IEMs. ARC effectively increases the mass of the components it’s applied to: every driver, crossover, and sound tube. This gives the internals more solidity while serving as a dampener to absorb the unwanted resonance instead of reflecting them out of phase. With A.R.C. clarity is increased substantially, bass is deeper, and the IEM becomes more efficient.

Built to invoke a sense of space and adventure, “Ventura” evokes the idea of journey and adventure while serving as a nod to the four vents that adorn the surface of the earphone, vents that allow for more air to move within the driver chassis. Sonically, this sense of expanse and immersion mean that these earphones serve as a well-worn passport transporting the user from rock concerts, to jazz bars, to grand orchestral halls, all in the blink of an eye, reproducing every detail in stunning space and clarity

In classic DITA fashion, the Ventura consists of a meticulously machined, multilayer titanium chassis that is supported by an all-new single dynamic driver and ends with an outstanding cable that is fitted with the interchangeable Awesome Plug.

New V4 Driver

Every DITA flagship model features a signature, custom-designed single dynamic driver; the Ventura is no exception. Dubbed the V4 driver, it is 12mm in diameter and begins with a vapor-deposited gold on titanium-ceramic diaphragm that is light and sensitive while remaining rigid and composed.

The fine gold deposit on the diaphragm introduces a touch of warmth into the balanced, referential character that is the core sound of the V4 driver, allowing for a bit more fun and musicality without sacrificing resolution and refinement. 

The diaphragm is then driven by twin magnets that are coupled to an array of not one but four rear baffles—thus the V4 namesake, that are the main contributors to its spacious sound signature.

Ventura’s True-to-Life soundstage is formed within its baffle-tuned acoustic chamber where the V4 driver resides. The V4’s four baffle chambers work with the driver’s brass support structure and the vents on the Ventura’s faceplate to further simulate and replicate the natural expansion of soundwaves in physical spaces.

This baffle-tuned system leads to a driver height of 9mm making the V4’s casing taller and wider, allowing for the increased flow of air and better replication of the sound speeds and nuances often present in real-world settings. 

This architecture, coupled with the V4’s ceramic-titanium diaphragm with PVD Gold and the Ventura’s external venting, results in a natural and powerful sound that is high on clarity and low in fatigue.

Exceptional Build

With its deep engineering roots, DITA products have also been known for its exceptional craftsmanship and build quality.  Never straying from its fundamentals, Ventura uses Titanium in both its driver and its chassis.

The ten-piece multilayer sandwich construction is precision milled using CNC from Titanium with a unique venting system that together with the V4 driver contributes to the large and spacious soundscape. Each meticulously cut piece also contributes to the intriguing palette of textures and colours found on the Ventura’s casing. 

From the inconspicuous nozzle filter to the innovative U-shaped support and the logo badge, each of the seven (or more) pieces are meticulously crafted and assembled to produce a product for the ages.

Custom-Designed Cable

As is customary with every DITA flagship beginning with the Dream Gen.1, Ventura will ship its own custom-built cable. 142 high-purity monofilament copper strands of 0.05mm each are wound in a contra-rotating method with the a coil over added at a pitch of 6mm.

This cable has been tested to complement Ventura but will also work with various high-end in-ear type earphones that use a similar 2-pin connector type.

DITA presents its first resin-based hybrid earphone, Project M, combining an ergonomic, signature design with cutting-edge audio technology. A New Driver Concept

Project M incorporates DITA Audio’s custom PM1+ 9.8mm Dynamic driver, delivering full-range sound with clarity, speed, and impactful bass. The cable also comes equipped with DITA's APV2, future-proofing the Project M for use in the modern listener's ever-evolving rig.

Acoustic FEA is used in close conjunction with a series of both objective tests and subjective listening experiences to produce a sound tube profile that is optimized for Project M’s dynamic driver. Prelude: DITA's New (e) TOTL

From their inception with the Answer, which launched in 2012, DITA has been associated with an unyielding dedication to the single dynamic driver, and excellent build quality. With Prelude, they raise the bar to a performance level unheard of at this price point. Serving as DITA's newest (e)ntry-level Top of The Line earphones, DITA hopes that Prelude will serve to uplift and augment listening sessions both on the go, and during quiet, still moments.

Construction

In classic DITA fashion, every Prelude shell is CNC-machined from a solid billet of 6000 series aluminum. The three-piece outer shell construction further allows them to showcase their dedication to stringent quality control, with the sandwich-style construction only being possible without any imperfections and misalignments. 

Prelude’s stylish logo is derived from the Gruppetto, a group of notes played in quick succession, used in pieces by master musicians like Beethoven and Chopin in embellishing their compositions.

Single Dynamic Driver

The Prelude’s final sound signature is a combination of sound acoustic principles realized through mechanical design and engineering, as well as a matured approach to dynamic driver design.

The Dynamic Driver mounted inside Prelude is based on the original Truth driver. Updated with dual magnets for greater linearity in power response, this impressive driver produces a mild V-shaped tuning with an impressive focus on technicalities, bringing a classic flagship-level driver into a far more affordable package. 

The dual magnet design also allows for a quick response from the driver, giving it a crispy attack and smooth, natural decay, giving a life-like reproduction of any track that’s thrown its way. The result is a very non-intrusive yet musical bass response across a wide range of genres, and sets a solid foundation for the rest of the frequencies to build upon.

Sound Signature

Prelude takes after DITA’s original entry-level earphones, the Truth with an equally sweet and luscious mid-range, sporting amazing vocal clarity and a natural timbre to set the stage.

The baffle design, which is a vent that directs airflow in certain directions, controls the mid-range and works to minimize low frequency bleeds into the all-important mid-range frequencies. This results in a mid-range that is clear and present, without ever being shouty, while maintaining enough low-end to satiate even the most visceral bass lovers.

The incredible treble extension is a hallmark of DITA sound, and is unmistakably present in the Prelude. Present, but still balanced and inoffensive, the Prelude gives listeners a feel for DITA’s specialty, without being harsh, sibilant or fatiguing. This airiness allows for listeners to gain a sensation of additional headroom, further reinforcing the impressive soundstage of the Prelude.

Coil/Over Cable with Awesome Plug Version 2

The cable's conductors are drawn from high quality continuous casted copper. Which results in an open sound stage, increased image definition, note delineation and a darker background that improves detail retrieval. Listening tests indicate a cleaner presentation that minimally influences the inherent tonal characteristics of the host source unit or analog output transducer.

Since the introduction of the Answer Truth Edition, DITA has always worked with specialty audio cable manufacturers to produce one-of-a-kind collaborations that elevate the enthusiast’s experience. The Coil/Over cable uses Length Specific Geometry: Utilising varying lengths of signal and return paths to reject micro interference. While difficult to design, it is even more difficult to produce. The nonlinear positive and negative signal leads are arranged in a coil-over construction of 6mm pitch. Resulting in a unique, “wheat-ear” like appearance that aims to reduce noise and distortion.

LiMa-Carbide Driver

The 10mm LiMa-Carbide driver debuts in Mecha, directly mounted near the nozzle to minimize reflections. Made from a Lithium-Magnesium composite, the 9mm diaphragm offers superior durability compared to standard materials. Its dual magnets boost efficiency and low-frequency response, while the 1mm Carbide surround enhances linearity for clear instrument separation. Dual vents optimize the acoustic chamber, balancing bass, highs, and tonal richness. Inspection
Each Titanium billet undergoes meticulous checks for defects and weight consistency to ensure optimal density.

Sizing
Larger blocks of Titanium are divided into smaller pieces for precision CNC-machining.

Initial machining removes excess material, forming Mecha’s rough shape while leaving room for jig holes.

Jig Holes
Protrusions are cut to create jig holes, enabling secure, multi-axis machining for the final shape.

Mecha is crafted in four parts (Top Left, Bottom Left, Top Right, Bottom Right) with internal chambers hollowed for drivers, connectors, and sound optimization, completing its design.

Playfully named for the anti-tangle ridges running along its length, the Churro features a tangle-free soft-touch TPE sleeve chosen for its low microphonics and low degradation of the signal source. The Churro cable is constructed from Monofilament single crystal high purity copper silver-plated conductors internally jacketed in PE. It is responsible for the all-important task of transmitting the audio signal to the LiMa-Carbide driver.

The end-result is a silent, conducive, comfortable and incomparably immersive listening experience, regardless of how or where you prefer to listen to your music.

Interchangeable Plugs

Mecha is packaged with a 3.5mm single-ended, 4.4mm balanced and USB Type-C plugs.

DITA’s APV2 Type-C connector differentiates itself with class leading sample rates of up to 384KHz/32bit, and an extremely low noise floor making it more than well-equipped to handle any of the masterfully recorded tracks in the user’s music library.

While some additional power drain should be expected when using any Type-C accessory with your device, the APV2 Type-C features just 35mA of power use when the device is active and 15mA of power use when the device is on standby— a strength not to be overlooked in comparison to market alternatives that may consume up to 45mA and 25mA of active and standby current respectively.

ddHiFi E13P Memory

Memory is a pair of in-ear earphones designed with a semi-in-ear fit. It features a side-firing sound tube paired with ear tips, making it a hybrid between in-ear and semi-in-ear styles. Despite housing a 13mm planar driver, its ultra-compact designs ensures comfortable wear, even for users with smaller ears.

Moondrop's 13mm Ultra-Linear Planar Driver

Moondrop's innovative proprietary driver combines the strengths of traditional planar magnetic drivers and dynamic drivers. With 10x higher electroacoustic efficiency than conventional planar drivers, it delivers wide dynamic range, even at low power. Its total harmonic distortion remains below 0.05% across all frequencies, promising high resolution and ultra-low distortion. 

Built-In DAC

The earphone's USB-C plug is compatible with iOS/Android smartphones, tablets, and computers. It features a built-in professional CS43198 DAC/amp chip, supporting up to 32-bit/384kHz lossless decoding. The cable also includes a microphone with inline remote controls for calls, recording, music playback, and pause functions.

The base of the USB plug features a ring-shaped LED indicator. Blue is standby mode, green is PCM decoding mode, and red is Native DSD output.

The high-resolution decoding plug paired with the high-efficiency planar driver aims to deliver a vintage-inspired sound signature. Beyond digital tuning via DSP technology, ddHiFi has specially developed shielded cable for the Memory earphones.

The main cable employs a triple-strand braid (with one strand dedicated to the microphone/inline controls), while the left and right channel wires pass uninterrupted through the inline remote control without any soldered breaks, extending all the way to the earphones' full-metal chambers where they are hermetically sealed.

3D Printed Internals

Advanced 3D-printing techniques enables intricate internal acoustic pathways within the Daybreak, optimizing crossover separation and delivering precise, high-resolution performance across the frequency spectrum.

The Daybreak’s fully-filled resin shell offers both stunning visual clarity and enhanced structural integrity, combining a glass-like finish with superior crack resistance compared to traditional hollow-shell designs. 

Tuning

The CrinEar Daybreak is meticulously tuned to the IEF Preference 2025 curve: an evolution of the Population-Averaged Diffuse Field target that blends natural, speaker-like tonality with a dynamic and engaging low-end response.

At its core is a fully custom driver array:

The aluminium nozzle measures just a hair under 6mm at its widest point, striking the ideal balance between durability and comfort—perfect for extended listening sessions. 

SPC Modular Cable

Crafted with high-purity silver-plated copper, the Daybreak's 4-wire stock cable is optimized for low resistance and maximum conductivity, ensuring a clean and transparent signal path that preserves sonic detail and minimizes distortion.

Designed with flexibility in mind, it features an interchangeable termination system, allowing seamless switching between 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced.
